Tai’s practice explores the relationship between objects, space, and everyday life. Through installation, painting objects, and found materials, he treats artworks not as images but as spatial entities, emphasizing perception, arrangement, and the exhibition as an active, evolving process.

Wood plank, canvas
255 x 13.5cm
Driven by the desire to create non-standard canvas frames, I stretched a canvas over a wooden block equal in height to the space, allowing it to stand upright like a pillar.
If regarded as a painting, the boundaries of the work are defined by the canvas plane. However, if viewed as a painting installation, its boundaries expand to encompass the entire surrounding space. The altered thickness and length of the canvas further influence how the work is perceived, prompting a shift in the viewer's perspective.
