Inspired by the inconveniences of my flat, I selected objects from my room, remade them, and combined them together. By connecting things that originally seemed unrelated, I attempted to open up a new field of imagination.

SocketBy installing the socket in a crooked way, I invited viewers to physically interact with it, experiencing the strangeness of its installation and its inconvenience. This placement in my room rendered it almost unusable.

ShelfDue to the inconvenience of the shelf in my room—its scale, size, and placement—I kept it empty, allowing it to appear like a clean sculpture. As an object, it carried multiple meanings through its presence alone. I remade an identical shelf based on the original one and placed it within an artistic setting, seeking relationships between function and presence, and between functional objects and artistic objects.

Photograph of bath towelDue to the narrow space of my room and the lack of other facilities for drying it, I could only hang the bath towel in the middle of the bathroom. The photograph shows this situation and serves as a clue and evidence for the work as a whole.

Publication, 148.5 * 99mm

At first, I was concerned that viewers might interpret my practice as being about minimalism. Although minimalist artists have influenced me significantly, this was not my primary focus. Therefore, I initially planned to place photographs of my room around the shelf as a form of evidence. However, I later changed this plan and decided to make a publication instead, as it offered a clearer way to explain the practice without disturbing the surrounding setting.
