Tai’s practice explores the relationship between objects, space, and everyday life. Through installation, painting objects, and found materials, he treats artworks not as images but as spatial entities, emphasizing perception, arrangement, and the exhibition as an active, evolving process.

This is an experiment in which I placed a mirror on the shelf. Originally, there was no connection between the shelf and the mirror, but by observing its reflection, viewers can perceive the distance and height of the shelf. The work emerged accidentally and continues to evolve through the ongoing adjustment of objects.

Shelf, wood
ShelfSimilar to the shelf above, it shared the same clean form, simple material, and lack of function, yet it generated a strong presence. Even though it was simply purchased from a shop as a shelf for holding a laptop or computer screen, its role shifted within the context of the work.
